Dear Prospective Employee,

    The Avamere Family of Companies is very concerned about your safety and that of our employees and clients. We have a zero tolerance drug testing standard for our newly hired employees. If you are hired for any position, you will be required to take and pass a drug test as a condition of employment.

    Our new hire drug test may include tests for many different drugs, marijuana and alcohol. If you have used any non-prescribed drugs during the last thirty (30) days, you may test positive. If your new hire test is positive, as determined by an independent medical review officer, you will not be eligible to continue employment and your employment will be immediately terminated. 

    Applicants with a valid medical marijuana card are eligible to apply for employment and are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on their ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position for which they apply.

    Please note: This policy applies regardless of whether the state of employment has a recreational marijuana law. The Avamere Family of Companies is not required to recognize these state laws and defers to Federal law in this area.
