Hope Jones, resident of the Arbor at Avamere Court, at the Walk to End Alzheimer's

Residents and staff at the Arbor at Avamere Court, a memory care community in Keizer, Oregon, supported Alzheimer’s research in the search for a cure by participating in the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Making a stand in Alzheimer’s awareness

One resident in this memory care community, specialized to care for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, took a stand as she rose her blue flower on the stage.

While Hope Jones represented all those who live with Alzheimer’s the spokesperson said:

“If you have a blue flower, like Hope, you’re here today because you’re living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Hope meets each day with a smile and spreads joy all around her. Hope is a southern lady who charms her friends with her sunny attitude. She enjoys visits with friends and family and loves music. If you have a blue flower, please join Hope in raising it and keeping it held high.”

Alzheimer’s support from staff

Team members across the Avamere Family of Companies support and participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s every year.

This year, the Arbor at Avamere Avengers (the Arbor at Avamere Court’s team), surpassed their $3,000 goal, raising $5,590.

Thank you to the staff, residents, family, and friends who supported this great cause by donating to or participating in the walk.
